planning our wedding

My days are spent working, planning the wedding, sewing, and trying to be a good Mama and fiance.  Unfortunately this spot is being neglected at the moment but this is a temporary thing.  Oh, I will always be busy because being busy has its high points (i.e. not boring).  Rest assured that this space *will* be a beehive of activity.

Ok, I can't keep it from this site another minute.  I have a fiance and I'm getting married in August 2010.  :)

I participated in two craft shows / holiday shopping events last week and I'm more than a little happy to not have to agonize over table set-up and whether I have the "right" items with me for a little while as I have nothing planned in that department until maybe May and definitely next December.

I do have a couple of custom orders to make before the holidays but those will be fun to do and allow me a break from the holiday madness that seems to takeover.

My fiance and I are going to put up the Christmas tree tonight and do our Christmas shopping on Wednesday.  My daughter will be at her grandparents' on Wednesday night so that is the perfect time to shop for her and get everything wrapped before she peeks.

The one year anniversary of our first date was Monday the 7th.  We celebrated by going out to his office Christmas party.

the name of this blog came about due to my nickname. my boyfriend has christened me "little girl" and because i like to sew and make crafty goodness, i decided that i needed to have "shop" in the title. plus i really do like to shop. ;) *and* i'd like to have a shop with this name someday...

anyway...

i have blogged many different places over the years. since october 2000 when my little sister introduced me to opendiary... though i currently "maintain" many blogs, i wanted one that is new and more me. not to say that the others aren't me. because they are. but...

anyway...

today has been busy and will continue on that trajectory. i'm going to spruce this spot up a bit more then sew. then pick my daughter up from school. then when she is ready to go to the school dance, i'll take her. then drive back home. then pick her up. probably make cupcakes while she is gone. then tomorrow, we're going to warrenton for antique weekend. ;) shopping. *grins*

so, that's my plan. what's yours?
